    I agree with all but first I would disconnect if possible the electric clock and anything else that is on all the time and expected to be a minor drain on battery when car ignition is off such as clock, anti-theft circuit, etc.

    I had serious problems with British grounds and British (aka Lucas) main battery cables, moisture getting into contact areas that could not be tightened for good electric contact.
