Usually this is the sign of a bad diode in the alternator

Hi All,
it was almost 2 weeks but i'm not fully got through with my
electrical system. Last weekend my mechanic carried out several
testings on the charging system and suggested me to replace the
battery. so i did as he said. Fine.. now the started motor and other
electric components runs like hell.. thats great when even head
lights, fog lights on.. but if i stop the car and turn on every
electrical peripherals such as blower fan,windshield wiper(3rd
speed),all lights and hazards the battery light lits slightly.. very
slightly.. that indicates the charging is not sufficient isn't it?
but the battery guy checked the charging system with headlights and
told me its charging 14.5 when head lights on.. i guess he mentioned
was 14.5V (?) .. now there's no anyother problem and i'm planning to
reposition the battery from the boot lid to the engine bay on
tomorrow..
if anyone know why that battery light lit in its halfway pls let me
know a proper solution.
