With much regret, due to going to school, and paying of debts, I must put up my 1969 Simca 1118 for sale.

Shes in great shape, not a lot of rust (under drivers mat, and under spare tire compartment), and starts and runs great. I just replaced head gasket, the valves do need an adjustment or replacement of a weak spring as when the engine gets warmed up, there is a metal to metal sound as if a floating valve. She needs a new accelerator cable, and a new master brake cylinder.

What I have done to it (thanks to Jurgen mostly). Replaced clutch cylinder/slave cylinder and put a very heavy duty braided steel/telfon hose to connect the 2. All new coil, cap rotor, points, wires, condensor, plugs (the timing advance diaphram just went out however), replaced all vacum hoses. All new coolant hoses minus the heater hoses (I plan to replace these soon). New oil filter and oil, New seat covers, however the back seat hasnt been cliped on yet, plan to do that soon. Most all electrics have been updated under dash with new fuses, all headlights/turnsignals etc work, except for reverse lights, I think the switch is bad. New brake cylinders, the elusive master cylinder is out there, the Simca club has a few. I drove this every day to work and all over, its strong runner. It always starts right up, without the timing advance working, you have to let it warm up a bit to keep from stalling on take off however. It has about 70000 miles on it, 1.118L engine (the only year this was in the US was
in 1969, as they didnt bring them over after 1969). Plain, small but tough as nails, I drove it from Boise ID to Eastern Washington last year for vacation round trip of 600 miles in one week, did excellent! 4 speed.

I am asking 1000. I think thats a deal, as this car was a major mess when I got it, and due to the fact its extremely rare.

    Thomas
