My dad has this really cool stuff that you just pour and heat with a blowtorch (propane). Its really awesome and fixes up cast aluminum or pretty much anything metal (alum is best though).
I will ask him what its name is. I know its like 45.00 a lb.

Subject: [Peugeot-L] aluminium gearbox casing repair
Does anyone have any tried and true remedies for fixing minor cracks in a
gearbox housing?
The one in my new 605 has obviously taken a hit from the bottom of one of
the concrete fenceposts. The housing has cracked and leaks, but there are no
significant holes. The oil leak rate appears to be independent of the motor
running, so the repair doesn't need to hold lots of pressure.
Thanks,
Kevin
