    hi

on cav pumps there is a fuel stop solonoid have you put 12 v to it (earth
the body and 12 on the crimp connection) or remove the plunger inside the
solonoid, the pump should be attatched to injectors as the most common
failure is lack of pressure through wear of the seal, better still test the
    pressure

Subject: [Peugeot-L] "Bench test" of Rotodiesel pump

In order to take a spare pump along on cross country trips I need to
test an extra pump from an xd2 engine which worked about 12 years ago
and has just had a new front seal and "o" ring replaced. It has been
set up on the bench with fuel and return lines, bled, but when I
rotate it with a drill, it does not pump anythuing. A Bosch pump can
be tested this way, but will it work with a Rotodiesel w/o the
injectors hooked up? Around here (Detroit) no one will test a pump
unless they rebuild it first and I don't want to take the trouble of
swapping it onto the car just to try it out. Any ideas?

      Thanks

      Bob Williams
