Charge Light On

Many thanks for the on and off-line responses to the charging light
problems. Forgive me for this post rather than replying to your individual
e-mails, but it is a pretty wacky day already!
I've booked the car into my usual auto electrician tomorrow. I really
don't have the time over the next couple of weeks to chase the parts and do
what is a longish job. The consensus seems to be that the inlet manifold
will need to come off (and yes, it does have gaskets, as I've had it off
before to do the starter motor).
I don't like giving in, but sometimes it is just practical to be a
Mastercard Mechanic and get the car back on the road ASAP.
Thanks again Pugsters for your help and advice!
Cheers,
John Wiltshire
