I am almost embarrassed to volunteer it, but on my old STX
eons ago, I did something really dumb that caused juddering.
I went to wash the car, and found the carwash bottle empty.
Right next to it on the shelf was a bottle of Murphy's Oil Soap. For
some reason, I checked the label and it listed cars. Soap is
soap, right? Wrong.
I tried every cleaner that I could think of to try and fix it, pretty
much to no avail. I was able to minimize the juddering by using
Rain-X periodically. That seemed to reduce the friction.
