Oooooh! That was nasty.
Altho I have to deal with the latest technology in my work, as fleet
maintenance Tech/Supervisor, I still have all those old tools, as well as my
1970s Sun scope in my garage, along with all my "special" tools for Skinner
Union carbs. My tach/dwell unit is stored safely in a drawer in my bedroom.
Somebody will enjoy getting that stuff, and my kids will have some extra
bucks to blow when I cork off.
Anyway, suggestion was meant to give an option of something quick and cheap.
Sometimes you guys go to extremes, and right past something simple. Just an
observation, not criticism. :>)

Watch it kid, you will be telling your age. At one time we set
timing, fuel/air mixture and many other things with a vacuum gauge and a few
other
simple tools. The only electronic tool we had was a test light <;-))

My choice would be a simple, cheap vacuum gauge.
