My husband and I resemble the LaRoses. Larry is fanatical about keeping
foreign objects out of the interior of our cars. Me, it takes all I have
just to get me, my purse and the kids out of the car much less anything
else! I am thankful the Larry is around to keep the interiors under
    control.

I understand the depressing side of car museums, but the opportunity to see
some of the cars in some of the great museums I have been in far outweigh
the depressing feelings. Without the museums I would have been deprived
    many a fine automobile sightings.

Currently my daily driver is split between two - one French (Renault GTV)
and one not, yet related (AMC Eagle). Soon, it will be 100% French though
as we are closing in on our SW8.

Hey, I thought I was the ONLY car nut for whom car museums are depressing.
The only one I think I ever want to visit is the Volkswagen museum in
Wolfsburg, and that is because I have nearly 20 VWs and figure I get plenty
of the experience. Still, they always tell you that the car runs perfectly,

but a lot of good it does anyone.

As far as keeping cars neat, I hate crap in my car, even my daily driver (a

94 Buick LeSabre-yawn!). I have made a habit (make that ritual) to "take
out the trash" every time I get out of the car. It drives my wife nuts, but

then you should see the inside of her minivan (there is usually about 3
weeks worth of recycling thrown in the back)!

When I lived in Utah, I drove my 505S Wagon every day, but I moved to
Illinois 3 years ago and I just can't subject it to the crap they put on the

roads here in the winter. I also had my wife stop driving her nice Renault
Medallion wagon in favor of a Pontiac van. I'll be moving back soon, and I
am looking forward to driving the Frenchies again.

Keep driving French. Those who ask why don't deserve to know!

    Michael
