Depends on the Synthetic, ester based usually good, glycol based a no-no. I
used to put synthetic in my 201 as it doesn't burn and minimised the
tailpipe smoke which was the norm in 1930, 1L of oil/200kms, people in the
city tend to frown when you leave a cloud behind you.

    Subject: synthetic oil...why not?

I noticed that some motors, such as older Austins, recommend using good
quality mineral oil instead of synthetic. Why would this be?

Is synthetic oil ok in most Peugeot motors?
