You surely could import a Peugeot if you were willing to pay G&K in LA
CA USA big bux to convert one to DOT/EPA's liking. They're doing
smart fortwos now, to USA spec.
Not worth the effort, even for a beautiful 406 Coupé......
I hope they get their butts back over here soon. I'm gonna need a car
to replace the 405 whenever it dies (342,000 km and counting, with
daughter Jenn driving it now - original clutch!), and I don't wanna
have to shell out $31K+ on a Mercedes B-Class. And I'd rather crawl
than drive any Japanese car.
