      I know someone with a 1998 Volvo v70 GLT wagon, 109k, really nice car, totally loaded, proper service history. It has an issue that comes and goes and they have gotten tired of chasing it down. They bought a new one and have just decided to sell it for a low low price as it is now...$3900/best offer.
       
      Mechanics have different ideas, mostly about a sometimes sticking valve, but also about a previous repair. 50,000 miles ago, the dealer replaced the head gasket. Until just recently, there was never another thought about that-- everything was fine...but now, sometimes the car hesitates and stumbles-- rarely!-- and it is using coolant.
       
      Volvo knowdgeable people, including Club members, suggest different things. The dealer says run a leak down test and a compression test. All the options require spending more money, which the owners decided not to do and just got a new one...
       
      so if anyone is interested in a beautiful Volvo wagon that is running and driving excellently and almost always acts just as it should (lol), e-mail me.
       
      Or, if anyone has any special insight, let me know, and I'll be acquiring another Volvo!
