[peugeot list] OT Alfa returning to N.A. 2007 model year *confirmed*--whither PSA?

If Alfa comes back, and includes both Alfa and Fiat based platforms, can the French be that far behind? So...Logan (perhaps-a lowcost and successful new niche name?) and Nissan (Versa) being the stalking horses, theoretical and actual, for Renault, can PSA be that far out of the loop??
Recently, behind the scenes at the Montréal International Auto Show, there was talk that PSA was going to come back to Canada very shortly and was in the process of negotiating quietly for (a) Montréal area dealer(s) to spearhead the N.A. re-entry, via Québec. I got this info from someone with some "ins" and whose antennae I trust. Really, in one sense it makes perfect sense, as there are many Francophonie immigrants in Québec and Montréal in particular who might have a soft spot for Peugeots, and diesels are an EASY sell there. Also, Montréal metro is a huge consumer market. I believe that VW sells a remarkable percentage of all its diesels there, whether you look at Canadian sales, or North American in total
