    Nathan,

      I don't know for sure, but I'd bet that the
    difference in rated output of the US and Euro engines
    is very similar. I'd bet the Euro quote is a DIN
    figure and the US quote is an SAE figure. Still, I'm
    sure that there is some emissions stuff on the US car
    that isn't present in the Euro car as well that could
    account for some of the difference.

      Then again, it could be fuel/ignition mapping, which
    would be a consequence of emissions as well.

      Just some thoughts.
