    Subject: Brake Fluid Question

While researching a change to silicon [DOT5] brake fluid in one of my
rarely driven cars, not recommended btw, a question concerning Peugeots
    came up.

I have always used Castrol GT-LMA in my Pugs as I have been told that
it was the only fluid compatable with Pug seals--its low moisture
activity was essential. I now find that DOT4 fluids, not DOT3, are
designated "low moisture activity"--neither Castrol nor DOT bothered
to explain how a glycol molecule can be taught not to be attracted to
    water, but that's another story.

Anyway, does anyone know if DOT4 fluid can be used in Peugeots? It's a
lot easier to find and cheaper than the Castrol.

    Mike
