I know there's a few of you out there who power their Peugeot diesels
by squeezing the olive oil out of leftover meals from local
restaurants, but the vast majority here and in Europe must be using
real diesel. Is the price premium for diesel as huge in Europe as it
is here (about 25% more than regular gasoline)? Pasi, others?
Here in the US it really makes diesel cars an uneconomic choice, so I
don't know how MB or anyone else is really going to get started
selling them here again. It must just be a supply and demand thing,
with most of the demand coming from Europe. It hurts me a lot because
I heat my house with a lot of #2 oil, which is basically slightly less
refined diesel. I sure wish natural gas was available!!
