as far as i know, diesel is only more expensive in the US. I was in europe
last month and diesel was cheaper then regular petrol, same for canada. from
what i understand, the US diesel is a 'low sulfer' formula which reduces
emissions. the reason it costs more is due to all the additional additives
to make up for the lack of sulfur.
