I am a former New Yorker. I grew up in Queens and left NYC in 1990. I still
visit on business about 8 times a year. The taxi's I most remember were the
504 diesels. We had a 504 at the time and it was great seeing your family
car also used as a taxi. I completely forgot about the 505 taxi's until the
emails. There also were quite a few of them. I didn't use or afford taxi's
when I was in NY then.

When our other Chrysler burned up in 1980 I remember going to the dealer in
Great Neck NY and saw all of the new 504's/some taxi's too for sale and a
few 505's in the showroom. We ended up buying a Chevy Monza instead. My
father admitted a few weeks after the purchase that it was a mistake and we
should have bought a second 504. He bought one used in 1986 though. This is
    the one I drive today.

Someone mentioned about the repair shop in Bayside was sold. I lived on
193rd and Northern Blvd and familiar with the shop. It opened a few years
after the Ed Di Bennedento shop closed. It was near a lumber yard and my
    JHS.

Those were to gold old days of Peugeot cabs driving around NYC.
