Greetings
i'm new to the group and all the way in africa!!! Kenya to be very
precise.

I have an issue here. i have a Peugeot 505 GTi and the engine runs
absolutely amazing. However the gearbox in it was the 3hp22 which has
failed and i cant seem to get the parts locally here to rebuild it
(not to mention that i dont have the mechanical knowledge to rebuild
auto tranny's neither do i have a manual to do it.)

I can get a second hand 4hp22 gearbox but without the torque
converter and so i was wondering if the tc from my 3hp22 can be used
in the 4hp22. is it possible?? if it is, will it perform well? i can
get a 4hp22 tc on ebay for around 99$ but the shipping to kenya is a
bloody bomb!!!

any advice would be most welcome.
