new problem

The car is cutting out after a fast run. It will buck and then stall as
though it's running out of gas. If you just let it die, then re-start it,
it's fine. While it's in the throes of death, the fuel pump is very noisy.
Background.
I just replaced the sender for the gauge and the scavenge pump. The scavenge
pump's filter sock was destroyed when I tried to remove it while removong
the fuel sender. I ran it with the ruined sock for a week or so. I think
sock flecks got into the pump and now it's trying to die.
Anyone have a good used main fuel pump for a 1985 505s, XN6?
