So was that 1986 model equipped with the 95 HP engine? That would be
quite OK in that car.
I had a ride in a 1987 French model 505 GTDT last month, and it had the
110 HP engine. 110 HP and 174 lbs-ft of torque. It was the typical
Paris urban assault vehicle though, every panel was dented and
passenger side mirror ripped off etc. Michel Verdier of the Club 404
uses it to commute, instead of his classic 404 Cabriolets.
Anyway, that always seemed to be to be the ultimate 505. Good torque
peaking at 2000 RPM, top speed of 111 MPH and decent acceleration. Not
to mention 43 US MPG at 90 km/h.
