Peugeot Re: '86 engine in an '85 chassis?

    Hi Alan,

    You will have to use the grille and hood from the '86 to provide air
    to the intercooler, and of course the flywheel from the '85. You
    should use the ignition and injection ecu's from the 86, which may
    require using the entire wiring harness from the '86, which would
    move the ignition ecu from under the passenger seat to the footrest
    area which would involve attempting to fit the '86 footrest into the '85.

    You could avoid all of this by leaving the intercooler off, using the
    '85 air piping, or just try the '85 ecu's with the intercooler to see
    how it works.

    I don't think of any other modifications, but I haven't done this
    swap, and with swaps it is easy to not anticipate everything.
