The 85 has lower compression pistons, and the turbo isn't watercooled. The 85 does use a slightly larger oil cooled turbo as well. So you'll need to swap the rad hoses and such as well from the 86 if you use the water cooled turbo. (Recommended)
To get around the cooling issue for the intercooler, I'd look at simply venting it through a hood scoop, or do a simple front mount intercooler set up. Either choice will cool the intercooler much better than the factory set up.
If I were to do it myself, I'd swap the engine in and hook up the wiring as if it was the 85. Swap over what you need from the 85 enging to make that work. Keep the water cooled turbo and intercooler set up and run an FMIC. If the FMIC is too much effort - then a cheap hood scoop and a cut hood would work great.
It's not stated - but is the sedan a 5-sp? If so you'll also need a pilot bearing in the end of the crank as well.
