    Hey everyone...

I recently picked up my first automatic transmission vehicle. It has
    a ZH 4HP22, a quite common box that many a 505 have.

Sometimes I get some odd squealing/grinding noise when I put it in
Park or Neutral. Shifting into Reverse or Drive the noise immediately
goes away and the thing shifts really well and properly when driving.
It's just that after you take it for a drive for a couple minutes and
drive it back home, when you put it into Neutral or Park at that
    point, the noise happens.

(BTW, I haven't driven it further than a minute or so from my shop, so
I don't know about longer distance stuff. I have some electrical
stuff that affects the fuel pump I'm working on, I don't want to get
    stranded.)

Anyone have any 4HP22 thoughts they could share? Why would a tranny
only make noise like that in Park or Neutral?

I've read up quite a bit on the 4HP22 and the don't rev it in Park or
    Neutral, etc. So....
