On my old 505, the vacuum control line enters the firewall right over
the transmission. I have the '82 diesel with the accumulator under
the battery that runs vacuum to the cruise control and air controls.
If those hoses are reversed on the accumulator, then no vacuum gets to
the cruise control or air controls. Divide the circuit and test.
You'll seen locate your trouble. My trouble was always with that
accumulator.
