3M makes an upolstery adhesive which is probably what you want to use... Guys use it when doing custom interiors in vinyl, carpet, and well - pretty much anything that needs to stick on!

My wife has a 94 525i BMW sedan. There is a little flap of
upholstery panel that has become unglued from the main rear door
panel and it flops around. My impulse is to glue it with Super
Weatherstrip Adhesive, but I wonder if doing that will make it
impossible to remove it if I ever have to remove the panel.

Does anyone know what I am talking about and, if so, could they
      suggest an appropriate fix?
      Thanks,
      Ken
