Heinrich Bauer's

Hi there!
My name is Heinrich BAUER
I was born on 12/11/1961.
I have studied Physics at the Technical University in Vienna (Austria). I am working at the Austrian Patent Office.
I like old cars, especially Peugeot. Why? Because they are very elegant, comfortable, and reliant cars. They reflect the "savoir vivre", the French way of life. I am co-founder and second president of Amicale Peugeot Autriche, the Austrian Peugeot Club (now approx. 250 members).
My oldest one is a 203C from the year 1957. This type was the first post-war Peugeot. The styling was old-fashioned even in 1948 when it was presented at the Paris Salon. However, the 203 had many modern technical features and you can drive it today still very easily.
My second car is a 504V6 Cabriolet (convertible). As you can see the styling is by the best car designer ever, namely Pinin Farina. This type was presented in 1969 and it does not like old-fashioned today at all. The 6-cylinder type is very rare. They made only 972 cabriolets with this engine (mine is No.765 and was made in 1977). The body was made in Torino (Italy) and then it was brought to France where the cars were completed.
This car was owned by the famous Austrian writer Friedrich Torberg.
The 404 sedan I originally bought as an all-day-car, but due to the perfect condition I keep it also most time in the garage. This picture was taken at our club rally to Hungary in 1994. It is a perfect car for travelling. In 1996 it brought me to Sweden where I joint the International Peugeot meeting.
Besides that, I am interested in Astronomy.
