Wastegate control on turbodiesel

Hi all
I've been reading some online information about wastegate control and
different ways manufacturers control boost. I would like to know more how this
applies to a turbodiesel engine with a Garrett TA0203 turbo and wastegate
control coming from the turbine pressure itself.

Are there other ways to control wastegate operation on a diesel engine and if
someone knows of some information I'd appreciate it if they'd let me know.
