headgasket on
my '84 505 Turbo at 217.000 km :-(
This was also the reason for the gurgling noises in
the heater.
The leak must have been very small in the past
months, because I
checked the coolant level regular.
Suddenly the gurgling noises increased, and a few
minutes after
that the headgasket was blown (steam coming out of the
tailpipe) :-(
The head was OK. I noticed that the engine had
already been
overhauled ("B" stamped on pistons and block) but I don't
know when.
I have been driving the car since 134.000 km

The car doesn't have a sensor for coolant level! I
think I am
going to put one in as soon as possible.
