According to the Bosch x-ref, the knock sensor
0 261 231 006 is for:
1984 Peugeot 505i Turbo
Porsche 944s
Porsche 968
Saab 900, 900s, turbo etc till 94 at which point they
used another system with a different knock sensor
A bunch of volvo including some 740, turbo and 850 GLT and turbo.

So I guess that mine was actually labeled as a Porsche part.
